Nissan Diesel recently announced that it has entered into a
licensing agreement with the German VDA for worldwide use of the
AdBlue trademark. The agreement will allow Nissan Diesel use of the
trademark in its efforts to market SCR trucks globally. Nissan
Diesel will also be able to sell AUS32 as AdBlue from its
dealerships.
Nissan Diesel had previously owned the rights to the AdBlue
trademark in Japan where it developed its first SCR Quon truck. As
part of the agreement, ownership of the Japanese AdBlue rights were
transferred to the VDA.
