In late October 2008, Yara decided to more than treble the
storage capacity at the Sluiskil production plant from two million
to five million litres. This investment comes in response to the
growth in AdBlue demand in Northern Europe. Bert Van Tilt of Air1
said "The expansion of our storage capacity and the additional
loading system in Sluiskil allows Yara to guarantee in time loading
of our delivery trucks, thus avoiding dry runs at customers so that
their fleet of trucks will stay fully mobile at the lowest cost as
possible"
Yara has also announced a new ship loading facility at Sluiskil
specifically built for the export of AdBlue to UK, Scandinavian and
Latin American markets. The new ship loading tank will have a
capacity of 5000m3.
