New handset ensures quality DEF

A device which measures the urea concentration of DEF has been designed to help cut the number of low quality solutions on the market. The MISCO Palm Abbe DEF-201 is a handheld digital refractometer which will help to ensure that DEF stays within concentration range +/- 1.5% of 32.5%, less than that is required to meet international standards and receive API Certification. Low quality DEF causes problems for manufacturers as well as the environment, by damaging expensive SCR components, and affecting the extent to which emissions are reduced. The product's manufacturer claims that tests on DEF are precise to 0.1% of urea concentration.
