Yara is to increase the price of its Air1-branded AdBlue across Europe on 15 October in response to "consistent rises" in the price of urea, the main raw material use in AdBlue.
Rolf Isberg, Global Head for Air1 at Yara, said: "Yara is a primary source producer of AdBlue, so urea prices directly impact on our production costs. It is likely that all other AdBlue players will also increase their prices sooner or later, as they will also be affected by the rise. We are, therefore, confident that our Air1 offer remains competitive."
A Yara spokesperson said details of the new pricing structure are currently being communicated to customers on a country-by-country basis.
