The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) is working with on-board diagnostics (OBD) suppliers to examine whether the European Commission's sensor thresholds for Euro VI emissions legislation will be suitable for the technology that is currently in development.
"ACEA is of the opinion that the feasibility of technical measures to monitor against the proposed Euro 6 OBD thresholds must be reviewed as soon as possible in order to support the legislative process that will implement the appropriate Euro 6 OBD thresholds while also providing sufficient industrial lead-time for compliance," said the report.

Euro VI emissions standards (heavy duty) will become mandatory in January 2014.
