Singapore: ExxonMobil to raise low-sulphur diesel output

ExxonMobil is investing in a new refining plant capable of producing Euro IV specification diesel in Singapore.

A company spokesperson said; "Once the unit is completed the refinery's total low-sulphur diesel capacity will rise to more than 25 million litres per day."

Euro IV specification diesel has a sulphur content of 50ppm. Singapore hopes to introduce the Euro V emissions standard, which requires Euro IV fuel, in 2014.
