Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has launched
its new Fuso Super Great range of heavy-duty trucks to meet Japan's
JP09 emissions regulations.
MFTBC's 12.8-liter 6R10 engine is the first model in the range to
begin manufacture and uses Daimler's BlueTec SCR technology to meet
the standards, which are more stringent than Euro V. Japan's 2009
Post New Long Term regulations have a final implementation date of
October 2010.
Mr. Albert Kirchmann, president of MFTBC, said: "The new Fuso
Super Great with its all-new fuel-efficient 6R10 engine and
advanced BlueTec emissions control system shows that heavy-duty
trucks can be environmentally friendly, optimised for safety, and
also highly cost-effective."
