Mitsubishi Fuso invests in Japanese AdBlue infrastructure

Truck and bus manufacturer Mitsubishi Fuso has announced a series of investments to improve Japan's AdBlue supply infrastructure, including at the pump supply. Idemitsu Kosan, Cosmo Oil and Suzuyo Shoji fuel chains will begin to install dispensing equipment and Mitsubishi Fuso will work with Zensekiren (the Petroleum Association of Japan) and UD Trucks Corporation to expand this network further. The number of Mitsubishi Fuso dealers and service facilities that can supply AdBlue will be increased from 250 to 400 and from August Personal Tano-mail, the Internet mail order service run by Otsuka Corporation, will start delivering 5 litre AdBlue® tanks across the country from August. According to the manufacturer AdBlue is already available at 1,500 locations in Japan, including about 1,000 truck stops. Mitsubishi Fuso's vehicles use the BlueTec aftertreatment system to meet 2009 and 2010 Japan new Long-Term Emission Regulations. BlueTec consists of a diesel particulate filter (DPF) combined with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system.
