Germany's ThyssenKrupp has supplied and commissioned a urea plant based in Sluiskil, Holland, which will produce 3500 tonnes of urea solution per day. Yara invested €400 million in the construction of the plant, which has taken three years to build.
Some of the urea produced by the plant will be used as AdBlue, marketed by Yara under the name of Air1.
ThyssenKrupp was responsible for the engineering, equipment supply and construction of the plant. It meets the latest environmental standards and special collection systems will ensure that no hazardous substances pollute the environment. Technology for the plant was licensed by Stamicarbon.
