JCB's flagship 8000-series Fastrac are now equipped with new engines and engine control software. The new 8230 and 8310 models use six-pot Sisu power plants pumping out a maximum of 279hp and 306hp respectively, providing both greater power and torque.
The machines use AdBlue based Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, meaning the power-plant can be optimised to produce maximum power and efficiency. JCB says this has resulted in a 10% improvement in fuel consumption and that the models are the quietest on the market, with noise levels down by 40%.
