New Holland plans to launch its new 'mid-sized' CX5000 and CX6000 model Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) equipped combine harvesters in time for this year's harvest.
Both model ranges meet Tier 4b emissions regulations using Fiat Powertrain Technologies' engines with New Holland's ECOBlue SCR technology. New Holland will supply combines with 1,000 litre IBCs of Yara's Air1-branded AdBlue and an electric transfer pump free of charge.
The new models will provide a 10% fuel savings, compared with equivalent previous year versions, whilst torque levels have risen significantly, according to a statement from the company. AdBlue will be dosed at an average of 4.6% of diesel use.
Hedley Cooper, NH Head of Combine Product Management, said: "The timing was good, with one-third of the mid-range combine market based in Europe, we believe it is a market segment where the manufacturer can grow.
"The new models take styling cues from the larger CX8000 and CR9000. Over-the-top unloading and higher unloading speeds are core improvements. We are not far off other higher spec machines at 100 litres per minute unloading speeds."
