Pulawy increases AdBlue production capacity threefold

ZA Puławy, a Polish producer and distributor of AdBlue, has completed a major investment project which will increase its AdBlue production capacity from 30,000 to 100,000 tonnes per year, as of April 2011.

The project included a significant intensification of ammonia production, as well an increase in urea production capacity by over 270 thousand tonnes to 1,215,000 tonnes per year.

At the forefront of this strategic investment was the construction of a new oxygen generation plant to replace the old units which had a smaller capacity. The new oxygen unit will now greatly impact ammonia production by reducing gas input by approximately 5.4%, and in turn reducing ammonia input for the production of urea by over 3.5%. This project was undertaken jointly with Air Liquide Polska, one of the largest providers of technical gases in Poland.

ZA Puławy is currently working on a project to further expand its production of urea for the fertilisers market.
