Polish urea producer Zaklady Chemiczne Police has begun its annual maintenance turnaround, during which the company's plant in the town of Police has been shut. This production plant, located near the German border, shut down on 19 July and is scheduled to remain closed for four weeks.
During the maintenance turnaround, Police will be halting its supply of both AdBlue and urea prills, which the company has been producing for the Polish market since 2006. In July 2010, Police increased the capacity of its AdBlue production facility from 50,000 to 70,000 tonnes per year and the company has intentions to further increase this capacity to 120,000 tpy over the next two to three years.
