VDA acquires Japanese AdBlue rights from Nissan Diesel Nissan Diesel recently announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with the German VDA for worldwide use of the AdBlue trademark. The agreement will allow Nissan Diesel use of the trademark in its efforts to market SCR trucks globally. Nissan Diesel will also be able to sell AUS32 as AdBlue from its dealerships.
Nissan Diesel had previously owned the rights to the AdBlue trademark in Japan where it developed its first SCR Quon truck. As part of the agreement, ownership of the Japanese AdBlue rights were transferred to the VDA.
