Ownership and management changes at Dureal Patrick Lammers, the current CEO of Dureal, has been appointed as the new CEO of Dyson Group, the materials technology company, from 1 December 2007. Dyson is involved in the automotive sector, and supplies materials for exhaust systems. Lammers' move may be related to ownership changes at Univar, Dureal's parent company. Univar NV is currently being acquired by the private equity group CVC Capital Partners. The deal is worth a reported €1.5 billion. The deal received approval from the European Commission during September 2007 and on 5 October, CVC announced that it had acquired more than 95% of Univar's shares and would be applying for a delisting from the Euronext stock exchange. The change of ownership is likely to have placed pressure on Dureal, which has shared concerns with other AdBlue suppliers in Europe that AdBlue prices have been too low given the recent increases in input costs. |
