Terra Environmental Technologies (TET) has revealed that it has signed a license agreement with Kemira Oyj to produce and distribute Denoxium, a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reductant, in the US, Canada and Mexico. Denoxium was developed by Kemira in 2004 and is a mixture of urea, ammonium formate and water. The reductant is fully interchangeable with urea in SCR systems and with a lower freezing point than the standard 32.5% urea solution, Denoxium may have advantages for hauliers operating in sub-zero conditions. TET will market the product under the name TerraCair.
