Pilot Travel Centers, the largest truckstop operator in the US, announced in September 2008 that it will provide DEF (AdBlue in the US) "at the pump" at over 100 locations by the end of 2009. It is hoped that this move will improve the infrastructure needed to support SCR trucks to meet forthcoming US emissions standards, known as EPA 10, which will come into force on 1st January. In addition, all Pilot Travel Centers will stock pre-packaged "top-up" quantities of DEF significantly increasing availability of DEF for truck fleets. Pilot Travel Centers, owned by Pilot Corporation, operate over 325 filling stations across 40 states.
