TravelCenters of America LLC (TA) has announced plans to distribute DEF at each its TA and Petro filling stations in 2009 across the USA. Tom Komos, Vice President of Fuel Supply, stated "TA is committed to help ensure this greener, cleaner method of diesel engine operation is fully supported at 100% of our locations to coincide with the introduction of SCR equipped trucks for the 2010 model year." The timing of product availability is intended to coincide with the SCR-equipped engine rollout by manufacturers in 2009. However, TA has yet to disclose whether DEF will be available only in pre-packaged "top-up" quantities or in pump equipped bulk dispensers across its network.
