Pilot defines roll-out plans

by Martine Sobey on 13/03/2009, 2:41 PM

Pilot Travel Centers of America LLC has announced further details of its plans to distribute DEF at its filling stations across North America. Pilot hopes to roll-out 25 bulk dispensing units each quarter from September 2009 through June 2010. The company intends to supply at least 100 of its stations with bulk dispensing facilities, the remainder will be supplied with pre-packaged quantities. Pilot has been working alongside Detroit Diesel and Daimler Trucks North America to devise the roll-out strategy. "Thanks to Pilot's first step, as well as the rest of the DEF infrastructure supply chain coming together to prepare for SCR, this positions Daimler Trucks and our customers very well for 2010," stated Mark Lampert, Senior Vice-President of sales for Daimler Trucks North America.
