Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores has announced it will begin work on bulk DEF installations at 50 of its truck stops before the end of 2009. This move comes in response to an announcement in late 2008 by Pilot Travel Centers - one of Love's primary competitors - of a roll-out of 25 DEF bulk dispensing units.  Jon Archard, Love's director of fleet sales, stated, "In the beginning, when demand for DEF will not be large, we'll use less expensive aboveground containers. In the long term, we would prefer to have DEF in underground tanks on fuel islands at all of our truck stops." Love's operates a total of 165 truckstops across the US.
