Terra Environmental Technologies Inc. (TET), a Terra Industries subsidiary, will supply diesel exhaust fluid to truck manufacturer Ford in a partnership announced ahead of the impending Federal EPA 2010 emissions standards in the US. The supply agreements come at a crucial time for not only Ford, whose new 2011 model F-Series super-duty pickup truck will debut in spring 2010 with a new 6.7L diesel engine and SCR as an option, but all truck manufacturers set to be affected by the new, stricter emissions regulations. Terra will supply Ford vehicles with their initial stock of DEF after production of the new SCR-equipped trucks. Terra's diesel exhaust fluid will also be available at Ford dealerships, branded as Motorcraft. Ford Motor Company, whose brands include Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Volvo, is not the first to have made agreements with TET, which also has exclusive supply contracts with Daimler and Hino among others.
